Planted in 1978, the Halcyon Block Cabernet exists on karri loam over white clay soil and is extremely low cropping. Basket pressed, fermented in concrete eggs and matured in a blend of new and old barrels for approximately 12 months.
This Shiraz is both approachable and vibrant. Full-bodied with smooth tannins and flavours of ripe red and black fruits, along with a touch of earthy complexity.
